Jose Jimenez started editing original silkscreen in 1969. From this first time in Madrid we must highlight artists from El Paso group as Juana Francés, Martin Chirino, Pablo Serrano and Rafael Canogar. Also in these early years José Jiménez edited with Barjola, Genovés and Juan Gomila.

Latter on, he moved to Alicante and acquired a unique work facility, an Hermitage located in Murcia (near Mar Menor) – wich he rehabilitated as a gallery that primarily exhibits the artwork edited at the nearby studio-. At this new workshop/studio -built with rural style- José Jiménez edits silkscreen, lithography and engraving.

At La Ermita it has been edited artwork from Alfonso Albacete, Alicia Martín, Avellaneda, Aurelio, Alfonso Alcaraz, Antonio Ballester, Ángel Haro, Barbara Eichorn, Cacho (Jose L.), Charris, Dora Catalineu, Emilio Pascual, Esteban Linares, Javier de Juan, Jorge Fin, Jordi Teixidor, José Lucas, Juana Jorquera, Juan Gomila, María Lara, Antonio Martínez Mengual, Manuel Sáez, Marina Núñez, Mercedes G. Alberdi, Mitsuo Miura, Molina Sánchez, Muher, Párraga, Pedro Cano, Rafael Canogar, Ramón Gaya, Tomy Ceballos, Sicre, Vicente Martínez Gadea, Wentzel Zierch, Willy Ramos, Yturralde (José María).

In this second stage, we must highlight the works carried out with Willy Ramos in different formats and about different subjects -in particular the series of serigraphs from Chicago-, exhibitedin at the Peter Bartlow gallery of this American city.

With Antonio Martínez Mengual -editing artworks characterized by the vividness of color and themes(which silkscreen transmit to perfection).

It also stands out the recent edition of an artwork in silkscreen with Alfonso Albacete – short series of serigrahs, 120cmx160cm size, with very high artistic value-, achieved thanks to the dominance of the color by this artist and his wide experience with this technique, working jointly with José Jiménez.
